For any group or organization leadership is very necessary. In one sentence it will be impossible for us to explain the exact style what a leader should follow. Through many types of leadership seminar and leadership quotes we can understand different types of leadership styles.

Leadership is get tasks through others .Different types of leadership styles exist in any working place. Some advantages and disadvantages exist within each leadership style. Main objective and customs/traditions of an organization determine which leadership style is the best style for an organization.

Authoritarian Leadership:

Authoritarian leaders follow autocratic leadership styles. In this style leaders provide clear indication what needs to be done, which time it should be done, and what is its process. Here division between the leader and the followers can be seen. Authoritarian leaders take decisions independently for that creativity do not come under this style. But when anyone will Abuse this style it will be considered as the dominating, interfering, and autocratic.

Participative Leadership: 

Participative is the democratic leadership style, where input of team members and peers get the proper value. Here employees can participate but the decision making power is only for the leader. Employees make contributions to the decision-making process for this employee get motivation. It reasons them to feel as if their opinions matter. When companies need to make a decision within a short period Participative leadership style can be used.


Transactional Leadership:

On the basis of performance results managers are using the transactional leadership style provide rewards or punishments to members of the team. In this style managers and team members both together preset the goals and employees consent to follow the direction to achieve those goals. The manager corrects employees when they fail to meet the goals. But when employees achieve goals they receive rewards.

Transformational Leadership:

To achieve goals of an organization high level of communication from management depends on the transformational leadership styles. Through this communication leaders can motivate employees and develop productivity and efficiency. This style of leadership requires the participation of management to meet the goals.

Laissez-Faire Leadership:

Delegative leadership is also known as laissez-faire leadership.  Highly skilled and qualified employees requiring little commands fall under the laissez-faire leadership style. The laissez-faire style makes no leadership or supervision attempts from managers, which can direct to poor production, lack of control and also it can increase the costs.
Now-a-days different types of leadership development training are increasing. By this kind of training leadership which leadership styles is appropriate it can be determined by the leaders. Leadership traits only will be present in some potential leaders because everyone can not be a leader.
