Human resource management (HRM) is the authority of an organization’s workers. HRM is also known as human resources (HR). Employees are sometimes referred as human capital. Human resources department of a company is responsible for building, applying and managing employees. Human Resource Management (HRM) provides direction to the people who work in the organization.

Human resources are those groups who work for an organization; human resource management is employee management which focuses on employees (as assets of the business).




Human Resource Management consist of job analyses, planning personnel needs, recruiting  right people for a  job , managing salaries and wages, providing benefits and incentives, evaluating performance, deciding disputes and communicating with workers . From employee recruitment to exit interviews all are considered as areas of HRM. The organizational function that deals with people related issues such as compensation and performance management, hiring of employees, organizational development, safety and benefits of employees, employees training will be considered under HRM.

HRM is exceptional from traditional personnel, management, and transactional roles, which are gradually outsourced. HRM is now estimated to add value to the strategic utilization of employees.

Human Resources Manager directs and controls the overall condition of Human Resources services, strategies and program for a company or a section of the Human Resources function within a large company. The most important areas which Human Resources manager handles can include:
  •     Recruiting new employees ;
  •     Planning for all departments of organization;
  •     Performance management and  its improvement systems;
  •     Organizational development;
  •     Employee relations;
  •     Compensation and benefits management;
  •     Employee safety, welfare and health;
  •     Company-wide committee facilitation;
  •     Policy development and documents;
